Russia’s MegaFon fixes data center troubles caused by bitter cold

MOSCOW, Jan 9 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operator MegaFon has restored activities of services, which were unavailable due to troubles in the date processing center caused by a severe frost, Yulia Dorokhina, head of the operator’s press service, said Monday.

MegaFon’s subscribers earlier complained in social networks of difficulties in the work of a number of services, including Internet phone service MultiFon and TV service MegaFonTV, as well as the company’s Web site, among others.

Extreme low temperatures on January 7 damaged the data processing center’s cooling system, which caused troubles, Dorokhina said. “Now (the services) function in an ordinary mode,” she said.
